About Marta Nobrega

Marta grew up in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and attended Universidade Federal de Vi├žosa, Veterinary school in Minas Gerais graduating in 1994. After a few years of practice in the state of Bahia she moved to Bellevue, where she worked as an assistant at Aerowood Animal Hospital while she prepared to take the foreign graduate examination. She worked as a general practitioner at Aerowood for 9 years, where she thrived in the fast-paced environment of emergencies and surgeries being mentored by Dr. Don Kelts, Dr. Kerlin Nogle, Dr. Doug Freeman and Dr. Susan (Warme) Allen. She would not have been successful without the support of the amazing staff, who are still close friends of hers. Wanting a better work/life balance once she became a mother, Marta joined the team at Mercy Vet in 2007. By then she had completed her acupuncture certification at IVAS and was ready to switch to integrative medicine and the loving presence of Dr Jackie (Obando) Sehn (and her staff) who became her mentor and friend for the next 13 years. Always looking to improve her healing skills, Marta has attended multiple classes, including Veterinary Homeopathy, NAET, Chinese Herbal therapy, Food Therapy, Canine Rehabilitation and more recently has started studying coherence healing techniques.
